The Night Shift

I am writing this note as I await the sleeping little one to rise for her midnight feeding. I think she may wait a tad past the stroke of 12, maybe even a half an hour past the mark but usually she is like clock work when it comes to her tummy.

Lucky for me she has been pretty good in regards to going right back down after her two wee hours of the night feedings. If she eats now, she will surely be up again for a 4am munch. Then Sherry has her at 7ish and I can catch up on the zzzzz. This schedule has been working great for Sherry's recovery. She may be putting on the wonder woman facade but I am sure it must be awefully uncomfortable to have had a c-section. I think every one treats her like she is right as rain because she is acting like she is almost mended. Hard to be feeling better and yet needing people to help cause the mending is not half way there yet.

Well I am not sure what will happen in two days time. When I return to work, I am thinking Sherry might be taking on the earlier of the two late feedings while I sleep on the early side of evening (say from 9 to 4). Then I am up for the late late show and then the 7ish breakfast feeding before heading into work. Boy, I hope Brandy starts sleeping longer than 3-4 hours at a clip. I will look a crumb illustration before long if she doesn't learn to like Mr. Sandman!
